Carer Recruitment Specialist

This role is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander designated position, classified under Section 12 Special Measures of the Equal Opportunity Act. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, and training potential foster carers using a culturally appropriate lens.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and assess potential foster carers to ensure they can provide a nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Deliver training programs to equip carers with the necessary skills to care for children and young people.
  • Provide ongoing support to carers to promote the physical and emotional safety of children and young people.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in social work or related field.
  • Experience in conducting assessments with a child protection focus.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Currrent driver's license.
