About the Role

This fixed-term opportunity, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, is ideal for an innovative and forward-thinking individual who values collaboration and wants to make a positive impact in the community.

As a Senior Conciliation Officer (Automotive Technician), you will provide expert advice to consumers and non-technical colleagues on mechanical issues related to motor vehicles, caravans, and boats. Your role will involve negotiating the resolution of disputes between consumers and traders, inspecting vehicles, caravans, and boats, assessing faults and quality of repairs, and providing evidence for court proceedings.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have a valid working visa (for fixed-term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

You will also need to have a formal trade qualification in the automotive industry or extensive experience in motor vehicle inspections and diagnostics, as well as demonstrated computer and keyboard skills with experience in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications and databases.
