Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Wahlburgers. As a key member of our culinary leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in our menu items, and driving a culture of excellence and teamwork among our staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct all facets of daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to create new menu items and promotions that drive sales and customer engagement.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of kitchen staff, providing coaching and feedback to ensure their success.
- Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing waste.
- Monitor and control kitchen costs, achieving or exceeding budgeted targets.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and operating standards, as well as relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing kitchens in a high-volume atmosphere.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills, with a proven track record of driving team performance and engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire cooperation and teamwork among staff.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary leadership, kitchen operations, and meticulous culinary skills.
- Ability to manage inventory, allocate responsibilities, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Organized and systematic approach to work, with a focus on attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Compliant and up-to-date on all necessary certifications, including food safety and handling.
