Kitchen Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Attendant to join our team at Novotel Surfers Paradise. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through food preparation and dishwashing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food to a high standard, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Assist chefs with food preparation, plating, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
- Recycle and remove rubbish, adhering to all waste management procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
