Maintenance ManagerAs the key professional overseeing maintenance, safety, and building performance for our student living portfolio, you will lead all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring a high standard of presentation and minimizing disruptions.
  • You will be responsible for managing all maintenance operations across the site, ensuring reactive and scheduled works are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Manage resident repair requests from diagnosis through to resolution, prioritizing tasks to ensure minimal disruption and maximum satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Maintenance Technicians, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and day-to-day supervision.
  • Develop and deliver strategic maintenance plans to maintain buildings, plant, and equipment in a safe, compliant, and fully operational condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections of apartments, communal areas, systems, and external spaces to uphold safety, appearance, and functionality standards.
  • Manage compliance testing and statutory checks, such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, HVAC systems, and water testing, maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate external contractors and suppliers, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and budget expectations, with proper permits and documentation.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs outside of regular hours, taking ownership of urgent maintenance issues and resolutions.
  • Support financial planning and control, monitoring maintenance spend, sourcing materials cost-effectively, and maintaining adequate inventory levels.
  • Champion a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained living environment, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the student experience.
