Senior Risk & Compliance Manager

About the Role:

This is a senior-level position responsible for building and embedding a proactive risk management culture within the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to develop, implement, and monitor the organisation-wide risk framework.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC reporting, and compliance frameworks. They will be experienced in governance, WHS, workers' compensation, and return-to-work obligations.

A key responsibility of this role will be to lead the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide risk management framework, including risk registers, policies, and reporting structures.

The Senior Risk & Compliance Manager will also partner with IT and Privacy functions to strengthen cyber and information security oversight.

They will drive internal/external audits, contractor/vendor compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing an enterprise-wide risk management framework
  • Leading the design and embedding of the organisation's first risk register

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8-15 years' experience in risk, compliance, or regulatory roles
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF obligations and AUSTRAC reporting
  • Experience in governance, WHS, workers' compensation, and return-to-work obligations
  • Ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • High integrity, strong analytical mindset, and hands-on approach
