Senior Risk Management Leader

We are seeking a seasoned risk management professional to lead our team in ensuring strong controls are in place to inform timely and well-informed decisions.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice to senior leaders on control improvement activities, drive a proactive risk culture through collaboration with business partners, build capability in direct reports and the broader risk team, and lead and coach team members to identify, initiate, and manage actions to mitigate risks and strengthen controls.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic guidance to senior leaders on risk management initiatives
  • Fostering a collaborative environment to drive effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive risk management plans
  • Leading risk profiling activities through the risk and control self-assessment process
  • Overseeing root cause analysis of issues and incidents and identifying and implementing control improvements
  • Collating key information for strategic planning and providing insights for senior leaders
  • Managing data quality and maintaining various databases

We are looking for an individual with influencing and consulting skills, experience in risk management within banking and/or financial services, in-depth knowledge of operational and compliance risk frameworks, people leadership skills, strong communication skills, and working knowledge of technology delivery and data initiatives.
