About the Role

This role is a critical part of our manufacturing and distribution site operations. It involves proactively managing breakdowns, conducting planned maintenance, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, and promptly address breakdowns as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records via our maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate with workshop trades and external contractors to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Efficiently execute planned shutdowns and repairs.
  • Maintain high quality and safety standards throughout all tasks.

Ideal candidates will be Maintenance Fitters who prioritize safety, efficiency, teamwork, and demonstrate initiative. We welcome energetic and reliable applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification and experience in Heavy Industry.
  • Experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to fabricate and weld to testing standards.
  • Proactive approach with safety and customer focus.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of working independently and guiding contractors.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Extensive experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Proficiency in computer skills; SAP experience is highly regarded.
  • Previous shutdown activity experience.
  • Safety certifications such as Working at Heights are desirable.
