Job Opportunity

This is a leadership role for a safety-focused Fabrication or Mechanical Supervisor to lead the fabrication workshop team in Emerald.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Southern Area Manager and play a key role in managing daily operations, meeting project deadlines, and upholding high standards of safety and quality.

This is a locally based position — the successful candidate must reside in Emerald or be willing to relocate.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the fab team in the workshop and onsite
  • Quote, estimate, and secure new projects
  • Ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • SOURCE materials and equipment to achieve results
  • Negotiate relationships with clients, councils, mines, and government entities
  • Uphold DGH's standards for quality, safety, and teamwork
Requirements:
  • A trade qualification in Fabrication or Mechanical
  • Real-world experience — workshop and site work
  • Strong skills in quoting, estimating, and job costing
  • Ledership that motivates and delivers results
  • A knack for problem-solving and effective communication
  • Ability to juggle priorities and make smart decisions
