About the role

Weigh Auto Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Motor Mechanic (Technician) to join our team in Rockhampton and Yeppoon, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will see you working in a well-equipped workshop, providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a range of vehicles.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults and required repairs
  • Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in optimal condition
  • Repair a variety of vehicle components and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and more
  • Test repaired vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics, such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic, preferably in a similar workshop environment
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Commitment to providing high-quality work and exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's licence
