About the role
Weigh Auto Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Motor Mechanic (Technician) to join our team in Rockhampton and Yeppoon, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will see you working in a well-equipped workshop, providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a range of vehicles.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults and required repairs
- Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in optimal condition
- Repair a variety of vehicle components and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and more
- Test repaired vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics, such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic, preferably in a similar workshop environment
- Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Commitment to providing high-quality work and exceptional customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A valid driver's licence
