Senior Contract Professional

Job Description:

Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor: Contracts to join our Perth-based Supply Chain team. This senior role involves leading the execution of complex sourcing and contract management strategies, delivering fit-for-purpose outcomes while shaping the company's broader contracting model to meet operational needs.

The role requires leading regional contract planning, providing strategic input into category and sourcing strategies for mining services, capital projects, and operational spend categories. Key responsibilities include identifying and delivering commercial opportunities through structured negotiation, robust scope development, and enhanced contractor performance management.

Additionally, you will provide coaching and peer review for less experienced team members, oversee contract compliance, proactively manage commercial risks, and embed governance through consistent application of contract lifecycle tools.

Furthermore, you will develop and maintain supplier relationships across key spend categories, driving accountability and value through performance-based contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional contract planning and execute complex sourcing and contract management strategies
  • Provide strategic input into category and sourcing strategies
  • Identify and deliver commercial opportunities through structured negotiation and enhanced contractor performance management
  • Coach and peer review less experienced team members
  • Oversee contract compliance and manage commercial risks
  • Embed governance through consistent application of contract lifecycle tools
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships across key spend categories
Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in contract management or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial opportunities through structured negotiation and enhanced contractor performance management
  • Ability to lead regional contract planning and execute complex sourcing and contract management strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
