This is a position for an Electrical Engineer who will be working on the operational readiness team. The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise to ensure design integrity, safety and efficiency of reclaimers and offboard infrastructure.

About the Role

You will be reviewing electrical designs, identifying improvements, assessing shutdown scopes and providing feedback. You will also assist with factory acceptance testing, evaluate and refine reclaimer control system design and philosophy, collaborate with stakeholders and oversee electrical installations onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review electrical designs associated with reclaimer and offboard infrastructure
  • Identify and implement engineering design improvements
  • Assess electrical and control shutdown scopes and provide feedback
  • Assist with factory acceptance testing as required
  • Evaluate and refine reclaimer control system design and philosophy
  • Collaborate with key electrical and control stakeholders
  • Oversee electrical installations onsite to ensure compliance with design
  • Participate in electrical and control system risk assessments
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with balance machines beneficial
  • Previous exposure to iron ore mining operations
  • Functional safety experience
  • Valid C class Drivers Licence

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills.
