About This Job

This job offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced laboratory environment, contributing to patient care and outcomes. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory tasks and tests, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing manual and automated laboratory tests and procedures
  • Data entry and troubleshooting
  • Assisting with cut-up, frozen section, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special stains
  • Maintenance of equipment and quality improvement activities

Requirements

  • Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Demonstrated practical experience in Anatomical Pathology diagnostic techniques
  • Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems and non-conformance management
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage competing priorities
  • Customer-focused approach with good interpersonal skills and communication
