Senior Executive Assistant

Provide high-level, proactive executive support to the PVC (Indigenous Leadership and Engagement) across a wide range of portfolio areas.

  • Manage complex correspondence and prepare high-quality documentation such as briefings, speech notes, submissions, position papers and presentations for University Council, University Leadership Team, other senior leaders and external organisations.
  • Supervise and direct an Executive Assistant, including providing guidance on managing priorities, and undertaking annual work planning and performance management.
  • Support project management of projects and initiatives, as directed by the Director, Strategy and Operations and the PVC (ILE).
  • Undertake strategic reporting to UTS committees and external bodies on Indigenous education, research, and employment outcomes.
  • Assist with drafting and editing complex documents such as business cases and proposals.
About You

You are a highly skilled and experienced professional with strong achievement in executive support, project management, and governance ideally within the university sector. Your tact, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills enable you to build relationships and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent communication skills are essential for drafting complex reports, documents, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Strong strategic planning skills and analytical thinking also contribute to success in this role.

Ability to develop understanding of Indigenous cultural protocols and engage respectfully with staff is essential for ensuring a culturally safe working environment. This includes recognition of priorities based on Indigenous values and processes.

This full-time role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to base salary. Appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months to provide backfill coverage for a staff member on secondment.
