Job Title: OSHC/Childcare Second in Charge

Leadership Opportunity

This is a permanent, part-time role to work in the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) sector.

  • Hands-on experience in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for children.
  • Support from a Director of Service to ensure you have everything you need to succeed in your position.

Service Location: Beveridge VIC

Work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

  • Breakfast Shift Club (BSC): 7am-9am
  • Afternoon Session Club (ASC): 3pm-6pm

Total hours: 25 per week

The Role - Develop Your Leadership Skills

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you will be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for children in our service.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

  • Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of children in your program.
  • Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
  • Play and have fun with primary school-aged children.
  • Support ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education (not essential).
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart.
  • Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
  • Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have fun.
  • Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
