About the Role

As an experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic equipment and systems.

This includes audio and visual reproduction equipment, home entertainment systems, computers, and electronic security systems.

You will examine and test machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to diagnose faults.

Your key responsibilities will also include working with our engineering team to implement new designs into the system.

Additionally, you will adjust, repair, and replace worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintain machines, equipment, and instruments.

You will reassemble, test operating, and adjust equipment.

Furthermore, you will inspect products for conformity and quality in line with established standards.

You will also advise users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions.

Receiving messages by interpreting code and converting to plain language, and writing and typing messages for transmission is another aspect of this role.

Finally, you will install electronic instruments and control systems.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A trade qualification.
  • At least 4 years of comprehensive experience in the same field.
  • The ability to read schematic drawings.
  • The ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong diagnostic abilities.
  • Self-motivation, organisation, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Great work ethics.
