General Medical Practitioner Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Medical Practitioner to join our team at Baralaba Multipurpose Health Service.

This role will provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care services to the local community. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Job Summary: Provide medical services to patients in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions using evidence-based medicine.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.
  • Enrolment/acceptance into a GP training program that facilitates a provider number with access to Medicare benefits for private practice.

  • Salary rate between $182,106 - $193,468 per annum.
