About this Role

Job Description

This role will be pivotal in maintaining and driving a strong health, safety, and environment (HSE) culture across the business. The successful candidate will oversee HSE systems, ensure legislative compliance, and work closely with site teams to implement best practices across live construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage HSE functions across multiple construction projects
  • Review and maintain HSE management systems, procedures, and documentation
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing training to site teams
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all legislative requirements are met
  • Provide proactive support and coaching to project and site teams
  • Continuously drive improvement in HSE performance and culture
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HSE or senior leadership role in commercial construction - Tier 2 construction background is preferred
  • Diploma in WHS (or higher qualification)
  • Proven experience implementing and managing HSE systems and procedures
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence, lead, and promote a proactive safety-first culture
  • Construction white card and current driver's license
