Job Opportunity

This is a part-time position commencing as soon as possible.

The school currently accommodates 240 children, from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school promotes a supportive learning environment where all staff demonstrate concern and care for children.

We foster strong relationships with our parents and the community to support student learning. Many students come from families where English is a second language, including families from diverse backgrounds, with 63% of students having an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background.

The Role:
  • Opening and closing the school premises
  • Internal cleaning duties, including maintenance of carpet and hard floor surfaces, toilet facilities, furniture and fittings, window glass, dusting, rubbish removal, and other general cleaning tasks
  • External cleaning duties, including veranda and covered area cleaning, rubbish removal, drinking trough maintenance, window glass cleaning, cobweb removal, general cleaning, and other such duties as required
  • Vacation cleaning duties, including vinyl floor stripping and sealing, window glass cleaning, carpet shampooing, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, and other such duties as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cleaner's expertise and skills in maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and materials
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
