Job Description

As a key member of the Strategy and Performance Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Austrade's strategy at an organisational, sectoral and regional level. Your contributions will be instrumental in establishing and monitoring Austrade's performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic projects, requiring consideration of complex organisational challenges and the ability to recommend evidence-based changes;
  • Developing corporate documents, including the Annual Report, Corporate Plan and Portfolio Budget Statement;
  • Providing clear, strategic and practical advice and briefings to executives and stakeholders using advanced PowerPoint, Word and Excel capabilities;
  • Building effective relationships with senior government and external stakeholders through representation at forums and events;
  • Capturing and evaluating key Austrade performance metrics across the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should possess excellent leadership and project management skills, with experience in developing and implementing strategic plans. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities are essential, as is the capacity to work collaboratively within a high-performance culture.

A strong understanding of Austrade's goals and objectives, along with relevant industry knowledge, is highly desirable. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
