Job Description

A Mechanical Engineer will be required to design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. The role involves creating 3D models and detailed engineering drawings suitable for fabrication and installation. The Mechanical Engineer will also perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs and ensure structural integrity.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, and mechanical systems. They will be proficient in Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks and have proven drafting experience creating manufacturing-ready models and drawings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The Mechanical Engineer must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks independently in a remote setting

The ideal location is based in the Greater Sydney Area with occasional site visits required. However, the position is structured for remote work allowing candidates to efficiently work from a home environment.

Qualifications and Experience

For this Mechanical Engineer position, we are looking for professionals with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design roles
  • Skills: Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks, proven drafting experience creating manufacturing-ready models and drawings, strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, and mechanical systems
