About the Role

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, and contributing to the upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, working collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective and safe responses.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities and other initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses, ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
  • Ability to commit to the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
