About the Role

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, and contributing to the upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, ensuring the safety of people and property.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
  • Ability to commit to the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
