The ideal candidate will be part of small crews and work a Lifestyle roster, Day Work Only 10.5 Hour Shifts.

  • This position requires the servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment including CAT Trucks and Dozers, Graders, and other ancillary equipment according to Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.
  • The selected applicant will complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component changeouts to a high standard.
  • They must source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining good housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Required inspections will be conducted to maximise equipment utilisation.

  1. Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar qualification
  2. Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  3. Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts, and servicing of Heavy Earthmoving equipment
  4. Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT large earthmoving equipment
