Job Title: IT Asset Management Specialist

The role of the IT Asset Management Specialist is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of IT hardware assets throughout their lifecycle. Key responsibilities include procuring, distributing, collecting, and disposing of devices, while maintaining accurate records and supporting stock control processes.

  • Manually handing over approved computer orders to requestors.
  • Coordinating with requestors for timely and accurate delivery of devices.
  • Collecting old or decommissioned devices for e-waste processing.
  • Transporting devices to designated e-waste collection points.
  • Maintaining accurate records of asset movements and status.
  • Conducting regular stock takes and updating asset registers.
  • Preparing and submitting weekly inventory and activity reports.
  • Retrieving devices from storerooms and preparing them for deployment or disposal.
  • Liasing with suppliers for deliveries, pickups, and issue resolution.
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal customers regarding device requests and returns.
  • Providing updates and support to stakeholders on asset-related queries.

This position requires experience in IT support, logistics, or asset management, along with strong organisational and record-keeping skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also essential. Familiarity with inventory systems and reporting tools is beneficial.
