About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor to join our Program Assurance team in Port Macquarie. As an Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting and coordinating internal audits across our Employment Service contracts. You will provide reports and feedback to supervisors and service managers, ensuring a high level of knowledge of department contracts, guidelines, and bulletins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate internal audits and document appropriately
  • Assist with external audits and monitoring visits
  • Conduct audits in line with audit schedules
  • Communicate positively and promptly to implement required changes arising from monitoring and audits
  • Analyse processes and systems and implement improvements when required
  • Ensure practice meets contract obligations and changing requirements
  • Conduct spot checks and desktop audits to ensure adherence of claims, subsidies, and guidelines
  • Processing employment fund and wage subsidy claims
  • Identify and report regularly on areas requiring further support and training
  • Provide support and assistance to staff with technical enquiries
  • Maintain current knowledge of contract guidelines and bulletins
  • Ensure accurate, appropriate, and timely data collection to assist with informed decision making

About You:

  • Understanding of employment services, training, and/or disability services operating environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment services contract guidelines (not a requirement but an advantage)
  • Experience working in a compliance-driven environment (policies, processes, systems, and programs)
  • Demonstrated experience of compliance improvements through auditing
  • Strength in balancing compliance with efficient business practices and the ability to use data and information to inform decision making
  • Experience navigating Government and 3rd party software programs
  • Strong communication skills to develop productive relationships with internal and external partnerships
  • Well-developed business acumen and ability to use data and information to inform decision making
  • Have a current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel on occasion
