Job Title:

Clinical Lead - Clinical Nurse Consultant

Overview: The Tasmanian Eating Disorders Service (TEDS) is a statewide program delivering integrated specialist care for adults with eating disorders.

The service includes Community-Based Intensive Treatment (CBIT) programs and a Residential Recovery Program (RRP).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist community-based intensive treatment for adults with eating disorders.
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of TEDS South, enabling the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Enhance consumer and carer participation in all service levels, including quality, safety, improvement activities, and co-design initiatives.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Specialist mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification in Australia or equivalent.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
  • Desirable: minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in mental health; interest/experience in eating disorders; clinical and professional supervision experience.
Key Performance Indicators:

Optimal clinical processes and patient outcomes; effective human and physical resource management; leading change and service development initiatives statewide and regionally.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or equivalent); current Driver's Licence; relevant certifications (e.g. Eating Disorder Credentialled practitioner).
