Service Planner Job DescriptionThis role involves planning, producing, managing and distributing effective service plans to maximize resources at the lowest possible cost while ensuring an exceeded level of customer service.
The success of this role directly influences the service delivery timelines and standards. It requires a strategic approach to optimize capacity, location and sequence, ensuring productive routes and service zones for technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and plan all service requirements by contacting customers daily to ensure timely loading of technician visits within set time frames.
- Review routes regularly to optimize capacity, location and sequence.
- Ensure accurate data entry into systems and manage the planning grid to avoid conflicts with confirmed visits.
- Respond to customer enquiries and arrange non-standard service calls as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics or field resource scheduling.
- Ability to manage phone conversations in a fast-paced KPI-driven environment.
- Exceptional typing and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in telephone-based support or call centre roles is desirable.
- Proficient in verbal and electronic communication.
- Able to work calmly under pressure while multitasking.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork and professional reliability are essential.
