Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead our budget planning and development efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public sector financial management and experience in leading policy development from concept to implementation.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior executive to join our team and contribute to the development of sound public sector financial management policies. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for conducting research and providing policy advice on budget reform initiatives and public sector financial management best practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage complex projects to develop and implement innovative budget planning and development strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across government to advance project outcomes.
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance to senior decision-makers on budget reform initiatives and public sector financial management policy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in public policy, economics, accounting, finance, law or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading policy development from concept to implementation.
  • Advanced communication skills, enabling the clear presentation of complex policy or financial analysis verbally and in writing.
  • Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, exercising leadership, and negotiating influence.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating a small team of analysts.
