People & Development Officer - HR Generalist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled People & Development Officer to join our team at Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing general administrative support to the People & Development team and wider business.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Selection
- Manage recruitment campaigns by writing job advertisements, supporting selection processes, processing necessary clearances for employment, and measuring effectiveness of recruitment practices.
- Training and Compliance
- Manage and organise mandatory training, compliance documentation, and monthly audits.
- Employee Engagement
- Educate People Leaders and employees on self-service data through effective internal communications.
- Assist with general HR enquiries while reducing the volume of queries through effective communication and support documentation.
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding process.
- Team Collaboration
- Engage in positive teamwork with other team members and the wider corporate team to promote consistency of best practice across the organisation.
- Professional Development
- Take part in professional development and supervision to maintain and update knowledge and skills.
- Skills and Experience
- High level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including the ability to mail merge.
- Education and Qualifications
- A Bachelor degree (AQF level 7) in Human Resources, or significant progress in working towards.
- Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in recruitment and selection processes.
- Demonstrated experience working in HR administration.
