Litigation and Dispute Resolution Role
RoleAs a Legal Adviser in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of legal risks associated with Comcare's claims litigation portfolio.
The team identifies and manages scheme risks, ensuring strategic alignment throughout the litigation process.
- Instructing on Federal Court litigation
- Proactively managing litigation risk to the SRC Act scheme
- Ensuring Comcare's broader policy and strategic objectives are appropriately considered
Admission as a legal practitioner of the High Court or the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory is mandatory.
Current practicing certificate or ability to obtain one within three months is also required.
Experience and knowledge of Tribunal and Court procedures, or providing advice and/or running litigation matters in a workers' compensation scheme, or equivalent environment will be highly regarded.
Eligibility and Specific Conditions of EmploymentA character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check) and Employee Health Declaration are required.
A six months probationary period for new engagements is applicable.
