The role involves collaborating on projects from data preparation to full machine learning solutions, designing, building, training, evaluating, deploying, and documenting using the latest technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop robust Python code for machine learning applications and lead brainstorming sessions.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in ML.
  • Manage metadata for operational data sources in data catalogues and virtualisation environments.
  • Own artefacts like the graph database of grid assets and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Assist the technical lead in ITIL Service Management processes like Change Management.
Requirements

We seek candidates with extensive experience in ML projects, comfortable with complex maths, eager to solve problems, collaborate, mentor, and admit when they don't know something.

Experience includes:

  • Successful ML projects in production.
  • Familiarity with ML Python libraries like Jax, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Wandb.
  • Data cleansing, normalisation, encoding, and text embedding.
  • Understanding graph data and time-series for ML models.
  • Model deployment, data pipelines, and supporting production systems.
  • Hardware configuration for offloading computations to GPU/TPU/NPU.

Candidates may be asked to complete a data science challenge. Mention of activities like Kaggle competitions is a plus.
