Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship Opportunity

Embark on a rewarding journey as a Mechanical Technical Apprentice in a dynamic environment, where you will gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of equipment and systems. This role offers the chance to develop your skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding, and preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply mechanical principles across various plant equipment and machinery.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Support the team in carrying out corrective maintenance and repairs when issues occur.
  • Gain experience in pneumatics and hydraulics systems.
  • Develop skills in machining techniques using lathes, mills, and other workshop equipment.
  • Work alongside experienced tradespeople to understand fault-finding and troubleshooting processes.
  • Follow safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
  • Complete Cert III in Mechanical Engineering Trade while actively participating in on-the-job learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Keen interest in mechanics and engineering.
  • Safety-conscious with attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Hands-on and curious, eager to develop skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and machining.
  • Team-oriented, able to work with and learn from experienced tradespeople.
  • Reliable, motivated, and committed to completing apprenticeship training.
  • Completed or currently completing Year 12 schooling.
  • Interest in mechanics, maintenance, or engineering.
  • Willingness to undertake a formal mechanical trade apprenticeship.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
