Telecommunications Technician

Our organization is seeking an experienced and skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting telecommunications infrastructure state-wide.

The role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning telecommunications equipment, as well as conducting regular site visits to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and maintenance of WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies
  • Commissioning and integration of radio base stations into the network
  • Conducting PIM, VSWR, sweep, and fibre testing
  • Troubleshooting and replacing defective equipment
  • Software installation, testing, and commissioning of sites
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Telecommunications or Engineering science, electronics, or microprocessors
  • Equivalent experience as a telecommunications technician if no qualification is held
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, and testing of Nokia and/or Ericsson equipment
  • Current Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket; First Aid and CPR
  • Construction White Card
  • Full Manual Drivers Licence
