
Residential and Commercial Building Specialist

Bricklayer
We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team and contribute to the construction of high-quality residential and commercial projects.
The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV level qualification in Civil Construction or Bricklaying, with a minimum 1 year of experience in bricklaying. They will be able to work both unsupervised and in a team, and possess excellent physical fitness and motivation.
The role involves a range of tasks, including:
- Brick and block laying to construct residential and commercial buildings
- Reading and interpreting technical specifications and construction design plans
- Mixing mortars and repairing brick constructions
- Using various hand tools and machines to cut, shape, and lay bricks
- Sealing foundations and waterproof materials
- Reviewing building plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures
- Calculating and cutting angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses using different tools
- Erecting and dismantling scaffolding
- Identifying materials and calculating dimensions required for installation
- Making a list of needed materials and tools required for the following day
- Mixing a variety of mortars
- Repairing brick constructions and structures of various shapes
- Cleaning up workstations and areas after completing tasks
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work efficiently, and possess a strong commitment to safety and quality.
