About the Role

The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director Investigations to lead the Investigation Division in delivering the Commission's obligation to investigate and expose corrupt conduct in the NSW public sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Investigation Division in delivering the Commission's investigation and exposure objectives.
  • Provide strategic, policy, and operational advice to the Commissioners, Chief Executive Officer, and the Commission.
  • Implement investigation and exposure objectives through the use of conventional, covert, and coercive investigation strategies.
  • Manage a large team across various disciplines in the conduct of complex investigations into alleged serious offences and/or public sector misconduct.
Requirements
  • Superior leadership, decision-making attributes, and skills.
  • Extensive experience in managing a large team across various disciplines in the conduct of complex investigations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of law enforcement and administrative investigation processes and methodologies.
  • A good understanding of the criminal law, the rules of evidence, and criminal procedures.
  • Well-developed strategic planning and organisational abilities, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write well and communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, occupation, and seniority.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in management or a related discipline and/or extensive equivalent experience.
