Cloud Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex customer issues related to Canonical's portfolio of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues related to Ubuntu and open source products
  • Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and provide expert-level support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions
  • Participate in regular weekend working rotations and contribute to knowledge base articles
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese (JLPT N1 preferred)
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or alternative chosen path
  • Hands-on experience in supporting Linux systems, including virtualization, containers, storage technologies, and networking
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience and ability to navigate stack traces and logs
  • Programming fundamentals in any language
  • Extensive customer support experience with a focus on customer needs
