Job Title: Labourer - Rural

Overview

This multi-skilled role requires individuals to perform a wide variety of tasks under the direction of the Rural Works Coordinator and in accordance with work instructions. The successful applicant will have a Class C Driver's Licence, previous labouring experience, WH&S Induction for Construction Work (Whitecard), Traffic Control Tickets (Stop/Slow and Apply Traffic Control Plans), and demonstrated commitment to the principles of honesty and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Laying pipes and other related stormwater infrastructure
  • Maintaining/operating plant and equipment
  • Producing concrete structures (e.g. footpaths, drives, retaining walls)
  • Controlling traffic – including completing set-up procedures per Traffic Control Plans, maintaining traffic flow and reporting traffic problems
  • Performing roadworks – set-up, construct and maintain roads
  • Acting in higher grade roles throughout the rural works team

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Class C Driver's Licence
  • Previous Labouring Experience
  • WH&S Induction for Construction Work (Whitecard)
  • Traffic Control Tickets (Stop/Slow and Apply Traffic Control Plans)
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of honesty and integrity
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of WHS
