Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Crane Technician to become a vital part of our Internal Crane Group. Reporting directly to the Principal Crane Engineer, this role involves conducting Periodic Third-Party Inspections (PTPIs) throughout Australia to evaluate the maintenance and repair status of cranes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive crane inspections
  • Prepare detailed reports based on inspection findings utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Manage documentation effectively
  • Engage with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Prioritize safety in all operations
  • Collaborate with the Principal Crane Engineer to conduct safety investigations

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong focus on safety and initiative, complemented by a robust work ethic, keen attention to detail, and proficient problem-solving skills.

  • Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications with a strong mechanical aptitude (dual trade preferred)
  • Relevant crane experience and certifications
  • Safety as a fundamental value
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Understanding of maintenance strategies
  • Capability to identify and implement process improvements
