About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Service Technician to join our team at Vanderlande Industries GmbH.

As an Electrical Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems, including electrical and mechanical systems. You will also be involved in electrical/mechanical fault finding on automated systems for equipment such as storage and retrieval cranes, conveyor belts, robotic arms, and AGV forklifts.

You will work closely with your team to ensure maximum system availability for the customer, which may involve assisting with general flow control/system operator level tasks or working with our onsite automation specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems
  • Electrical/mechanical fault finding on automated systems
  • Assisting the team to ensure maximum system availability
  • Working towards increasing equipment reliability by continuously improving processes
  • Working in a safety-focused environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong electrical (A-Grade) qualification
  • A mechanical aptitude
  • Industrial controls understanding (PLC's, VFD's, HMI's, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and comfort with working with computers
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical fitness
  • Comfort with working at heights
  • A high level of motivation and a keen interest in furthering your own ability and studies
  • Honesty, reliability, and a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
  • A team player with a passion for safety culture
  • Australian citizenship or PR
