
Operations Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our fire services team. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic organization and take on a challenging role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the daily operational activities of the branch to achieve consistent branch targets. This includes all activities from quoting to delivery, as well as management of staff.
This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team while meeting KPI's and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a business manager qualification or similar, electrical trade or fire services industry background, and previous management or supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage and coordinate all Technicians under the direction of the NSW scheduler
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the field service personnel who perform on site routine services including installations, repairs and maintenance and manage performance, customer satisfaction and compliance
- Forward planning to ensure the team is utilised efficiently through monitoring defects, quotes, follow up processes and reviewing scheduled work calendar
- Attend sites to complete audits as required
- Support Technicians with any urgent issues on sites
- Quoting/estimating
- Maintain and monitor strong customer service
- Interact directly with high-profile clients
- Develop and maintain the current team you will be managing and identify training needs
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Evaluate and improve operational performance
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings
- Drive initiatives in the branch and organisation that contribute to long-term operational excellence
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance within standards, WHS Policy, procedures and SWMS
- Cary out regular service, breakdown and upgrade works across all areas of the business
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Business Manager qualification or similar
- Electrical, trade or fire services industry background
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Strong IT skills across Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and systems such as SimPRO
- Strong focus on quality and safety
- Proficient with administration, business process and function
- Quoting exposure
- Ability to build customer relationships and provide a high standard of customer service
- Time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability prioritise in a demanding role
- Critical thinker
- Strong people management
