As a result of our growth and the continued diversity of our operations, we are currently looking for an **Asbestos Supervisor **to join the team.

The position will be involved in the supervision of asbestos remediation projects across the greater Newcastle area.

**The successful applicant will be responsible for the following**:

- Site supervision of plant, labour, and subcontractors.
- Efficient planning and co-ordination of asbestos removal/remediation work.
- Documenting / reviewing/maintaining paperwork including asbestos removal control plans (ARCP), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), licenses, and tickets.
- Enforcing and demonstrating safe work practices in relation to asbestos.
- Ensuring that personnel is adequately trained and supported.
- Assist Project Manager or Project Engineer with site operations.
- Coordinating the lawful disposal of asbestos / hazardous material waste.
- Monitoring progress to meet budget and targets.

**You will have**:

- 5+ years experience within the asbestos/ demolition/ remediation industry.
- Relevant asbestos removal qualifications including Friable Asbestos Supervisor.
- Proven ability to undertake the role of Supervisor and manage sub-contractors.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take a hands-on approach on site.
- Demolition/Earthworks experience, advantageous
- Trade qualification, advantageous but not essential.
- Drivers licence.
