About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally competent individual to support our Indigenous students as a Teacher Assistant.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with teachers and staff to provide effective support and develop activities that promote productive partnerships between individual and group members of the community.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records on students' development, assisting in the supervision of education activities, and contributing to the coordination and organisation of multicultural and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander celebrations.

This role requires someone who can demonstrate knowledge, skills and ability to work as a teacher assistant in a responsible and collaborative way.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to function effectively and cohesively with a diverse range of people, and have a strong use of Microsoft Suite products.

Mandatory Requirements:

The position must be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.

Verification of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Island heritage is required.
