Teaching Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Teaching Intervention Specialist to join our dedicated Student Support Team.

The ideal candidate will have contemporary teaching experience in intervention teaching, with strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

The successful applicant will be responsible for co-planning strategic teaching experiences for individuals and small groups of students, managing required resources, and delivering planned strategic teaching groups. They will also be required to timetable teaching groups, liaise with class and specialist teachers, and provide feedback to the team.

  1. Co-plan strategic teaching experiences for individuals and small groups of students (Prep - Year 6) with ST: IEs, based on a variety of data sets.
  2. Manage required resources.
  3. Pre-and post-test for monitoring purposes and to measure the effectiveness of teaching strategies.
  4. Timetable teaching groups, liaising with class and specialist teachers.
  5. Deliver planned strategic teaching groups.
  6. Document teaching plan and weekly progress notes.
  7. Feedback to ST:IEs for ongoing modifications to the program.
