About the opportunity

Role Purpose:

The Curriculum and Pedagogy Support Teacher (CPST) collaborates with classroom teachers to embed high-impact teaching strategies aligned with the Australian Curriculum and BCE's Learning and Teaching Framework. Success depends on building professional relationships, fostering capacity, and supporting quality learning experiences. The CPST reports to the Primary Learning Leader (PLL).

The CPST's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Building collective efficacy through relational and responsive collaboration.Designing and implementing evidence-based pedagogies that promote creativity, innovation, and differentiation.Analyzing student data to identify needs, track progress, and set goals.Applying the 4C's model—Co-plan, Co-teach, Co-debrief, Co-reflect—to promote shared learning:Co-plan: Clarify roles and focus for each session.Co-teach: Model and support effective practice alongside teachers.Co-debrief: Provide feedback and reflect on teaching and student outcomes.Co-reflect: Identify next steps for teacher growth and classroom improvement.Participate in planning meetings and implement strategies aligned with school improvement targets.Maintain professional expertise through ongoing learning aligned with BCE priorities.

About you

In addition to the above, you will be responsible for:

Creating a supportive, learner-centered classroom environment aligned with the Australian Curriculum.Designing, delivering, and evaluating curriculum programs and pedagogies, and reporting on student progress.Collaborating with leadership, staff, students, and families to foster a positive school culture.Engaging in professional development to improve student outcomes.Supporting students' spiritual and moral development and ensuring Catholic values underpin teaching and learning.

To succeed, you should have:

Skills in creating a learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.Expertise in designing effective curriculum programs meeting Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.A commitment to collaborative engagement with colleagues, students, and families.A passion for supporting students' spiritual and moral growth.

Eligibility and safeguarding requirements:

Legal eligibility to work in Australia during the appointment.Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
