Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of international hot and cold meals in commercial quantities for our airline customers.
- Manage bulk materials, produce, and recipes to ensure efficient and effective meal preparation.
- Conduct stock control and minimize food wastage to optimize kitchen operations.
- Work collaboratively with a team of chefs, following directives from Sous and Executive Sous Chefs.
- Communicate and work effectively with Catering Attendants to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times, adhering to strict food safety and HACCP policies.
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications preferred, or equivalent level of experience.
- Passion and drive to deliver high-quality food to our customers.
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred but not essential.
- Availability to work 38 hours per week, as this role is a full-time permanent position.
