The role of a Fabrication Specialist involves the creation and assembly of thin gauge metal components according to precise specifications.

This entails fabricating, assembling and welding various steel components, including Zincaneal, Galvabond, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel.

A high level of precision is required to ensure accurate fitment of components using jigs and other specialized tools.

Additionally, the Fabrication Specialist will be responsible for inspecting completed welds for quality and accuracy, adjusting components as necessary, and operating a range of machinery to build door frames and doors.

Maintaining production levels and adhering to workshop drawings and quality control checks are also essential responsibilities of this position.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess equivalent work experience, particularly in welding and fabrication.

A strong understanding of tolerance and quality control is also essential, as well as the ability to maintain production levels as required.

Candidates should also have sound written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to follow direction and work independently.

Familiarity with sheet metal machinery and welding equipment is also highly desirable.

  • Must be able to operate sheet metal machinery and welding equipment.
  • Report all defective parts and materials to Leading Hand.
