Midwife Unit Manager

We are seeking an experienced Associate Midwife Unit Manager to join our Women's, Children and Birthing Unit at Latrobe Regional Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our maternity services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of midwives and contribute to the development of our new maternity facilities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the workload capacity, ensuring the achievement of quality patient outcomes. Your leadership skills will be essential in building and fostering close working relationships with the Midwife Unit Manager, NUM, Hospital Coordinators, ANUMs, AMUMs, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and support to the midwifery team
- Manage the workload capacity and ensure quality patient outcomes
- Build and foster close working relationships with key stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of our new maternity facilities

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience
- RANZCOG - Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP)
- Excellent leadership qualities
- Competent in escalation and management of an obstetric emergency
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
