Job Title: Team Leader

The primary function of this position is to lead and manage a team within the organization.

  • About the Role:
  • This role plays an integral part in ensuring high-quality care for residents at all times.
  • The successful candidate will support the Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate care to residents across the home, ensuring individual needs, wishes, and goals are met in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage:
  • Provide social and emotional support to all residents to ensure holistic and person-centred care provision.
  • Support the coordination of care needs of residents across the home including medication management, nutrition and hydration, pressure care management.
  • Lead/supervise care on the shift, within their designated wing or area.
  • Perform medicine-related tasks in accordance with scope of qualification, state or territory legislation, regulation, and organizational policies, procedures for delegation and supervision.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications such as Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (with APRHA Registration to administer medication) or Certificate IV in Ageing Support (including HLTHPS007 Administer & Monitor Medicines).
  • A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • An effective listener with the ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and programs, and learn new skills as required.
  • Current National police check.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
  • A desire to work in a mission-based organization.
