Residential Service Leader Position

The Residential Service Leader is a leadership role that requires close partnership with the Service Manager to provide high-level input and advice on service delivery.

This position focuses on the day-to-day delivery of excellence in quality care provision, ensuring high standards of client care at all times.

  • Facilitate and monitor the integration and coordination of care for clients.
  • Operational management of a team of Residential Support Workers includes disciplinary measures, recruitment and selection, personal career development, statutory and mandatory training, and delegating as appropriate.
  • Provide high-level service input and advice to staff and other stakeholders, ensuring high standards of client care.
  • Monitor and review systems and processes used in Client Services to enhance effectiveness of support for persons with mental illness.

This role involves an on-call component. May also include weekend and shift work when required.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree or relevant diploma qualification is ideal.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience leading a team or holding a senior support worker position with mentoring and coaching experience is essential.
  • Ability to consult and engage with a wide range of stakeholders is crucial.
  • Experience working within a residential recovery model is required.
  • Skills in working with people experiencing mental illness are necessary.
  • Demonstrated capacity to relate to clients and stakeholders with dignity and respect is essential.
  • Ability to think calmly and deal sensitively with distressed individuals is vital.
  • Commitment to professional development and willingness to participate in training is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office is necessary.
  • Must hold a current WWCC and NDIS worker screening clearance.
  • You must have a current driver's license and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
